This is me in my work chair, so this how it might look if we meet. My facial hair and my shirts look different day-to-day.

Owner / Therapist / Supervisor
The task of finding the right therapist can be draining, vulnerable, and re-traumatizing. The mental health field is not immune from oppression, and in fact usually ends up reinforcing it. I get it. As a queer neurodivergent trans man, I've been there, too.
Throughout my life, I've dedicated myself to understanding what liberation is about and how we can all get there together. I've learned a lot about what this means (and doesn’t mean) working in a variety of settings, including summer camps, non-profits, schools, homes, and therapeutic treatment centers. Most importantly, I’ve been led and supported by people of many different identities, and especially owe gratitude to the many formal and informal teachers who have generously offered their wisdom, love, and pushback.
My favorite thing about therapy is developing relationships that create space for people to bring their whole selves, including and especially the messy stuff that’s hard to talk about. My goal is to challenge the systems that make things harder for everyone by supporting individuals striving to be their whole selves.
As part of my work, I strive to take good care of myself so I can be most present. I'm often watching women’s basketball, camping, watching birds (especially ducks), gardening, and spending time with my partner and our two tiny pups. I wear a mask in public (yes, still, whenever you are reading this), and encourage you to do the same !
I offer individual therapy for all ages, and have a special passion for supporting young people exploring considering or currently on puberty blocking medications. I also offer clinical supervision and training.

Therapist
From an early age, I became interested in understanding what lies below the surface of human behavior. Growing up in Southern California, there was a large emphasis on surface-level appearances. My healing journey involved disowning that social norm and finding my way toward truth, authenticity, and self-acceptance. I am passionate about connection with Nature as a valuable stepping stone towards honest and compassionate knowledge of ourselves.
I have extensive experience working with young people and parents in wilderness therapy, eating disorder recovery, and community-based 2SLGBTQIA+ youth support. I’m compassionately passionate about honoring the complex messiness of human experience, relationships, healing, and personal growth.
I love to support my clients in attuning to themselves, practicing healthy boundaries, improving communication, exploring and affirming gender identity, knowing and tending to their needs, regulating their nervous systems, increasing respectful correspondence with their bodies, building coping skills, and unleashing embodied self-compassion.
A key principle that guides my work with clients is organicity. Organicity is the idea that each person has the innate drive to seek healing and balance within them. Counseling is collaborating with my clients to discover (or recover) their innate wisdom, courage, creativity, clarity, compassion, and wholeness.

Welcome! I'm an unconventional therapist, identified as Autistic later in life, with deep personal and professional insights into the challenges of living beyond conventional societal norms. My experiences, especially those gained while supporting my queer, Trans, Autistic loved ones, have greatly influenced my understanding of neurodiversity and gender diversity.
I view therapy as a partnership, not the kind of therapy where I’m talking at you or giving you unsolicited advice. It's about respecting your autonomy, building on your inherent strengths and interests. I take a collaborative approach to exploring how to get you to where you want to be. Making sure you feel seen, heard, respected, and most importantly safe are my first priorities. And with that, we should have a good base to explore whatever it is you want to explore together.
If previous experiences have left you feeling broken, invalidated, or harmed even by therapists, it’s understandable if you approach this with caution. Here, I commit to earning your trust through transparent, honest communication, genuinely listening, and being curious about your perspective. You deserve a compassionate space where your experiences are validated and supported.
If you’ve ever felt like an outsider, exhausted from pretending to fit in, lost in not knowing who you are anymore, or suffocated by 'normal' expectations, you're not alone. Here, you'll find a compassionate space where your experiences are genuinely heard and validated. Let’s work together to find your path to genuine self-acceptance and well-being.
I specialize in working with Autistic individuals of all ages and/or their parents. My passion extends to supporting Transgender adults along with their family members and friends. Traditional therapy often misses the mark for those who don’t fit the usual mold. Here, we take a fresh approach, stripping away the usual rules to make sure our therapy really works for you. Please do give me a call and we can see if we might be a match to help you feel better.

I received my Bachelors and Masters in Flute Performance, and a Masters in Counseling with a concentration of Somatic Dance/Movement Therapy. I am also a demisexual, pansexual, polyamorous, non-binary woman, and first generation Chinese American. I first discovered the body and breath through flute, music, improvisation, and the strength of creativity, art, and performance as tools for moving through the world with intention and purpose, fun and play. My lived experience informs me on unconventional ways we all come to heal, grow, and walk through life together as humans.
I am interested in the spectrum between polarities of binaries and finding ways we can choose our boxes and step outside of it. I hold multiple dichotomous truths, and have a person centered, somatic, and social justice orientation. I desire to continue growing, finding ways to create safer spaces for marginalized folx, and aid in the movement of decolonization in therapy and within myself. I seek a collaborative approach in therapy, and want to help you expand your range and choice for a more flexible nervous system. We can talk, AND we can move about it!
In my free time, I start too many creative projects, go hiking/backpacking/camping, attend music shows, dress up in costumes, learn new things, watch Avatar the Last Airbender, and cry over Everything Everywhere All At Once. I also really like to make weird art, meditative, and avant garde music.
I specialize in working with BIPOC folx, immigrants, queer folx, neurodiverse folx, and anyone that feels like they fit outside of the norm.

Therapist - Supervised by Jessie Read, LPC
Hi, I’m Ari! I support neurodivergent, gender expansive, queer, and erotic minorities live unbound lives through liberation, community, and joyful resistance.
I believe that the world has given many of us messages, explicitly and implicitly, that our way of being is wrong. We've been made to feel broken, weird, unlovable, crazy, and too much.
Some of us have responded to this by trying to perform or fit ourselves into smaller boxes. Some of us have consumed therapy and self-help content to try and be “better.” Some of us have masked so much that we are not even sure who we are under that mask. Some of us have just tried our best to ignore the gnawing sense that we are wrong.
Hear me: You are incredible. You are powerful. And I am so glad you are here.
Eduardo Viezca, PhD, LCSW (He/they)
Therapist
I am a licensed psychotherapist who specializes in supporting neurodivergent, queer, transgender, nonbinary, and gender-expansive youth and their families. My work is grounded in gender-affirming, trauma-informed, and anti-oppressive care. I have a deep commitment to helping young people feel seen, respected, and supported as they explore identity, embodiment, and belonging.
Part of my work includes supporting youth who are currently on, or considering, gender-affirming healthcare. I understand that this process can bring up a wide range of emotions—relief, hope, fear, uncertainty, and sometimes conflict within families. In therapy, I help clients and caregivers slow down, communicate more openly, and move through these transitions with greater clarity, confidence, and connection.
I also have experience supporting neurodivergent and autistic clients, and I practice from a neurodiversity-affirming framework that honors difference rather than pathologizing it. I believe therapy is not only about symptom reduction, but about helping clients reclaim self-understanding, agency, and dignity—especially in a world that often misunderstands or marginalizes them. In therapy, I prioritize building a relationship rooted in trust, consent, and collaboration. My style is warm, grounded, and direct when needed. I aim to create a space where youth and families can explore challenges with honesty while strengthening resilience and connection.
It is truly a pleasure to support 2SLGBTQ+ youth and their loved ones through affirming, culturally responsive care. If you are interested in working with me, you can shoot me an email to schedule an initial, free consultation.
Monica Mikkelsen, LPCC (she/her)
Therapist - Supervised by Jessie Read, LPC
Hi, I’m Monica, and I love working with diverse clients from all walks of life. Diversity and authenticity are central to both my identity and my clinical work. I am Danish American, autistic, ADHD, and a highly sensitive person (HSP). Growing up between cultures and navigating the world as a late-identified neurodivergent individual led to various challenges and a deep curiosity around identity, languages, cultures, and human behavior.
I’m passionate about supporting adults, particularly autistic individuals, ADHD’ers, as well as various forms of anxiety, relational challenges, trauma, shame, guilt, anger, low self-esteem, grief, and loneliness. I also enjoy working with men, older clients, gender diverse folx, and BIPOC folx.
When we diverge from the “norm,” the messaging we receive can lead to an overall sense of rejection from society. This can be confusing, heartbreaking, and exhausting to navigate. I strongly believe in supporting people through a neurodiversity-affirming lens, embracing neurological differences as a natural and valuable human variance.
I strive to provide a warm, safe, and collaborative space, meeting each individual in their unique experiences and needs. I lean into various modalities and tools, including person-centered therapy, strength-based therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), emotion focused therapy (EFT), and mindfulness practices, among others. Whether you are here to seek help in navigating life, discovering or further exploring your identities, I will meet you with empathy, a gentle curiosity, and resources. I look forward to getting to know you and helping you reconnect with your intrinsic strengths and resilience.
In my free time, I love hanging out with my goofy and sweet Chihuahua-mix (Banana), hiking, being in nature, caring for my house plants, deep and thoughtful conversations with my partner and friends, impromptu dance “parties,” as well as researching my special interests.
Jeg tilbyder også terapi til dansktalende klienter.
What is Serotiny?
Serotiny is an ecological process in which growth is prompted by an environmental trigger. Serotiny most commonly refers to the process in which fire causes seeds to be released, creating the opportunity for the growth of new trees.
Serotiny is about balance. If an ecosystem is out of balance, a serotinous process can prove either utterly ineffective or totally destructive.
Sometimes, we’ve gotten as far as we can on our own, and we recognize we need some support outside ourselves. We are all part of ecosystems and constantly responding to the world around us. What looks like an insurmountable experience might just be exactly what we are needing for growth.
Therapy is about creating the conditions for growth and change. It is one of many possible “environmental triggers” that at first look daunting, even taboo to embrace, but can provide a balanced space to see what else might be possible.
In therapy, you bring your own dreams for what comes next, and your own understanding of what is getting in the way. As a therapist, my role is to see things from your perspective, holding your experience with compassion and a little fire, so that what you’re dreaming for yourself becomes more possible. And as with any ecosystem, the change you experience will impact the world around you.
